Egon Savin (*1955) - Studied directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Soon after graduating became assistant to Dejan Mijać at the same faculty. Today he is himself a professor of direction at the FDU in Belgrade and at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, Montenegro. He has directed in most of the major theatres of the former Yugoslavia. He has successfully worked with all types of production models that have existed here, starting with the production of "Goodbye Judas", around which a group of young an conspiratorial actors formed in the mid-1970s, creating one of the possible models for fringe theatre, and productions in institutions of national significance, such as the Belgrade Natinal Theatre, the Serbian National Theatre and the Yugoslav Drama Theatre. He has produced both national and world classics and plays by contemporary authors such as Isaac Bashevis Singer, Danilo Kiš, Aleksandar Popović, Václav Havel, F. K. Kroetz, Dušan Kovačević, Sam Shepard, Edward Bond and others.
