Carta, Vincenzo

Information

Vincenzo Carta was born and raised in Italy. After his studies in architecture in Florence, he started dance studies in the school of C-E-M: Centro em Movimento in Lissabon during 2000- 2001 and in P.A.R.T.S. during 2002-2004. Vincenzo’s first personal choreography, a duo Elucubrazioni was created and presented in Lissabon, Portugal in 2001. In 2003 Carta has created a solo "Audience with Solo", worked with the American choreographer David Hernandez and with the Austrian Willy Dorner. In 2006 Carta won a first price in the dance- competition MOVING-Movimento with the project We-Go, which he created in collaboration with the Flemish choreographer Benjamin Vandewalle. In 2006 Carta equally created a project “Urban X in collaboration with the Italian dancer Myriam Clericuzio and participated in the project “Prayer of a Weeping Horse by Galothar as a choreographic assistant to the solo of Andy. In 2007 and 2008 Vincenzo joins Galothar for Mudar, in which he replaces the former dancer Raffaella Galdi. During 2007 Carta continued his collaboration with Benjamin Vandewalle with Unspoken.
