DOO DANCE THEATER

Information

The Doo Dance Theater is one of the most exciting and significant dancing teams in Korea. It was founded 2003 by passionate young actors and dancers. Led by Jung Young-doo, won "Grand-Prize" and "Special Award" from 2004 Yokohama Dance Collection Solo & Duo Competition, the artists wish to express feelings of different people, based on lively creativity. Their prominent works have been recognized from the very first year of their performance, marking notable growth in Korean contemporary dance. The cross over between plays and dances has been a unique appeal to the audience. The Doo Dance Theater is continuously exploring the world of psychology, expanding its choreographic field. It performs various experimental works, trying to coordinate different types of movements into each works. Jung Young-Doo's work has been seen at Seoul International Dance Festival's Contemporary Korean Dances by Young Artists as well as in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. He is a graduate of the Korean National University of Art.
