Anna Petrželková (1984) - Studied theatre direction at VŠMU in Bratislava in Peter Mikulík's year, graduating with productions of "Hedda Gabler" and "Casablanda (Among the Vultures)". While a student she had a placement at the theatre studio "Farm in the Cave". She works at Czech and Slovak professional theatres, and has directed, among other things, "The Candles are Burning Down" at the Seven and a Half Theatre in Brno, "Kazimir and Karolina" at the City Theatre in Zlín, "Dangerous Liaisons", "Blanche and Marie" and "Cabaret Astragale" in Zlín, "Nora" in the State Theatre in Košice, "Itching" in Prague's A Studio Rubín, "Marx Bros." in Brno's HaDivadlo, "Romeo and Juliet" and "Foam of the Daze" in the Reduta, Brno, "Quiet Tarzan" and "P. Š. T." Goose on a String Theatre, "Mein Kampf" and "Idiots" in the Švanda Theatre, and "Orlando" for the Masopust group. Anna Petrželková's directorial style is explosive, stuffed full of ideas, comments and metaphors. She makes use of rapid cuts, parallel plot development and maximum actor participation.
