Anne-Linn Akselsen was born in Bergen, Norway. She was educated at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm and then completed the four year-program at P.A.R.T.S., Brussels. During her studies at P.A.R.T.S. she danced in Vile Parody of Address by William Forsythe, Set and Reset by Trisha Brown, First Take by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, among others. Her own works include One For Francesca and Mat(t)er. During her studies she started an extensive collaboration with co-student Justin Garrick which resulted in the pieces Dancydance, the sublime commodity, and B-Fold at P.A.R.T.S., and the independent production Dog Dance Afternoons which premiered at Monty in February 2006. She has worked as a teacher and rehearsal director for P.A.R.T.S., and assistant teacher for Lance Gries (Set and Reset), Janet Panetta (Ballet), and Elisabeth Corbett (Forsythe Repertory). She also worked with Johanne Saunier for the production of Mozart-urban bubbles. She has joined Rosas for the creation of a Steve Reich Evening. (Quelle: wwww.bam.org)
