Coton, A. V. (orig. Edward Haddakin;b York, 1906, d Blackheath, 7 July 1969). British dance critic and writer. He began life as a merchant seaman and policeman but took up ballet criticism in 1935. He helped Tudor to form the London Ballet in 1938. He was ballet critic of the Daily Telegraph (1954-69).
