Ms. Kumagai is both director and choreographer of Nomade~s performances. She also demonstrates unusual talent as a solo dancer. She performed the "Imaginary…" Series in 1989 and established the new dance group, "Movement Laboratory Nomade~s," and succeeded in leading it to become the now distinguished company known as Nomade~s. She began taking modern dance lessons when she was 18 years old. She has studied modern dance under Keiko Yokoyama, Midori Ishii, Katsuko Orita and Kinuko Nishina, and participated in many of their performances. (Quelle:www.t3.rim.or.jp)
