The Moving Picture Mime Show

Information

A Scot, an Englishman and an American were studying in Paris at the Jacques Lecoq Mime School in 1976, when they discovered they shared an antic sense of the world and decided to join forces. Later based in London and known as the Moving Picture Mime Show, they combined mime and clown techniques, wore masks, vocalized sound effects and evoked a cartoon style. The three artists are Paul Filipiak, Toby Sedgwick and David Gaines. A part of their show incorporates a sped up version of ''The Seven Samurai,'' and a work about growing old, called ''Handle With Care.''
