Norbert Servos has accompanied Pina Bausch's unique career for decades. In this monopraph he provides knowledgeable, detailed discussion of every piece from 1975's Le Sacre du printemps to the production premiered in 2008. N.Servos published his first book on Pina Bausch in Germany in 1979, followed in 1984 by an English version. In 1996 he created a large-formated, opulently illustrated monograph. For the present book's first edition in 2003 the essays has been expanded to include descriptions of the pieces Pina Bausch has created since then, along with new interviews with her closest collaborators, the costume designer Marion Cito and the set designer Peter Pabst.
