A Steady Rain - An American play about the strength of friendship, and also a crime story. Denny and Joey are two tough guys who have been friends since they were children in the Chicago suburbs. Now they are both serving in the Chicago police. In the US and world premiere of the play the policemen were played by international film stars Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman. Richard Krajčo gained a Thálie award in 2012 for his performance as Denny, with the committee assessing it as follows: “Richard Krajčo has no need of props. All he needs are his bewitching eyes, which to begin with show only insurmountable anger and hatred, the harbinger of a fateful betrayal, and in the end tears – which never appear on his face. Krajčo’s subtle, almost film – like acting is based on total personal experience, on the energy he radiates and which reaches into the audience. Krajčo manages to join the stage and auditorium into a single whole. It has to be added that David Švehlík as his colleague Joey provides Richard Krajčo with an excellent partner.”
