Frankenstein!

Beschreibung
The choreography by Guilherme Botelho is not just a dancing adaptation of the novel by Mary Shelley. The question here is to highlight the issues raised by the writer by using contemporary equivalents. In a time of genetic manipulation, cloning, use of embryos, the production of humans is no longer imagination and the new notions of beauty and anthropomorphic standards have recomposed the aesthetics of the body. Thus we could penetrate the mystery of Frankenstein and reverse its modernity like a glove! The dictatorship of the appearance, the harassed aging, the body to freshen up are the advertising slogans nowadays. As an underlying theme in this aesthetic machinery is the power that Man has always wanted to exert on humanity : to shape man in the image of a smooth and ageless being, without history, without fail and without memory...
