Meteora

Beschreibung
Es gibt nichts, was dich ablenken könnte. Choreographie / Performance: Elik Niv You're standing on a small hill in the desert, the ground is rough, dry grey stones with yellow sand scattered over them, the bit of grass that grows here is starting to turn yellow, its short circle of life is about to end. It's quiet, you realize that the sound you thought is coming towards you is your own heartbeat. Nothing here to distract you, this understating scares you, you start to hum a song to calm yourself down, you convince yourself that it works, you cannot leave this place, you know it so deep in your being that you don't even try. The piece "Meteora" is about places of fear and about a state of being where human life is reduced to its basic surviving conditions. Where the human being is thrown back on himself ' to deal only with the basic needs of the body. By focussing on a body being confronted with a state of fear and self-attentiveness, "Meteora" will shell out an atmosphere of lucidity and clearness. Is it possible to reach a point of no distraction? To see beyond ego by focussing on the body within its basic needs? Although this might not be a pleasant place to be in, it is a place to search for the subconscious and the physical. Choreography / Performance: Elik Niv (Quelle:dock11-berlin.de) lng
