Mit einfachsten Mitteln stellt das portugiesische Choreografen-Duo Sofia Dias und Vítor Roriz unser Wahrnehmungsvermögen auf den Kopf. Wenige Gesten und Worte rund um einen kleinen Holztisch herum reichen ihnen aus, um vollkommen neue assoziative Welten zu eröffnen. Simple Sätze werden so lange wiederholt, bis sie sich unmerklich transformieren, Alltagsgesten verbinden sich zu rätselhaften Bewegungssequenzen, Gesichtsausdrücke werden bis zur Unkenntlichkeit gemorphed. Mit einem subtilen Gespür für Rhythmus und minimale Verschiebungen ' und einer guten Portion augenzwinkernden Humors ' heben die beiden jungen Performer die scheinbare Hierarchie zwischen Stimme, Bewegung und Geste aus den Angeln. »In this piece we subject words to the rules of movement composition and explore the potential of the word as a body, taking into account not only its meaning, but also its sound plasticity and the relationship to voice, breathing, rhythm and musicality. We place ourselves in the moment when the word repeated loses its meaning and within the possibility of degeneration and transformation, where other words emerge. Here, we are able to observe how our minds work ' in the chaos of sound textures there is always a logical connection to something recognizable.
