Beschreibung
please take note: the information of this piece was not clear on the DVD and difficult to find in the internet, places of its premier. The only possible reference of this piece was found in the links bellow the text. "To animate language, to intensify language, to create a sensorial experience through the production of language and speech. To embody speech. To speak my mind. To receive information and give information simultaneously". 'Inging' was a solo performance in which Jeanine would speak non stop, until she would reach a physical end, which usually happened after 40 minutes. For 'Inging' we researched how we could create meaning by the spatial relationship between the work, the performer and the audience. The task was to create a space as an open invitation, that would reflect opinions about the (non) hierarchy between performer and audience. The set up consisted of a big table with some props, 25 chairs in staples, video projections from pre-recorded performances, a performer and audience. On entering the audience could choose if they wanted to take part in close proximity of the performer or have a more distanced (over)view on the event. The lighting design consisted of 5 frosted cyclorama's that lit the space from around. For me it was an interesting realisation how much the direction of light designates how you experience your role in a performance. To avoid hierarchy it turned out to be really important that the light didn't came from one direction, emphasizing (looking at) the performer. quelle: (Quelle: http://katinkamarac.com/works/inging2.html) isrr
