Identity and Transgression

Autorenschaft
Beschreibung
This showing is part of a longer research phase of Jeremy Wade entitled “Identity and Transgression“, spanning 6 months of teaching, sharing ideas in workshops, curating events and inviting other artists into the rehearsal process. “Identity and Transgression” is basically a challenge for Jeremy Wade to incorporate new ideas and methods as well as expand upon and revisit his artistic process. Wade and his collaborators have been concentrating on the notion of “service” that relates to a fascination with audience participation, ecstasy, an ongoing exploration of the paradox of surrender and control and a coming to terms with the production of images via language. One of the new tools Wade developed is a method he calls “Making the Nature See” that combines Ideokinesis, Authentic Movement and Speaking. The showing during Tanz im August is a window into this process. Jeremy Wade will navigate this new terminology together with Ligia Lewis, Martin Hansen, Rodrigo Sobarzo de Larraechea, Tian Rotteveel and his dramaturge Eike Wittrock. (Quelle: TiA Abendzettel) isrr
