211 jours après le printemps

Autorenschaft
Beschreibung

“She arrived that day, 211 days after the beginning of spring.
She goes through tunnels and dives into the warm breath of the underground entrails of concrete.
Now she plunges into narrow white streets with the ever-clearer impression of knowing the way.
Near the top, the fumes reveal or conceal the thing that she came to find.

211 jours après le printemps is also presented in an installation in the form of a field full of images (1992). Mini-screens perched on the end of long stems present a scattered vision of fictional linearity. The stems are stuck into a flexible floor and react to the viewers’ footsteps.

This first installation was originally presented in the Vieille Charité Museum in Marseille, and was also presented at the Forum des Images in Paris.”

It won the Grand Prix at the Locarno Festival of Electronic Arts in 1993.
