MEDIATHEK

The dance company Nanohach was founded in 2004 by dancers who had been involved in professional dance and theatre for several years. The company supports and realises dance activities, and facilitates the international exchange of artists with a focus on projects created in co-production with foreign groups. All its projects have attracted considerable attention from critics and audiences in the Czech Republic and abroad (Argentina, France, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, the US, the UK and others). In addition to many nominations, the projects have also received many awards: Best Contemporary Dance Performance Award 2011 and Best Actor Award (Kingfestival, Russia), the Best Lighting Design Award 2010, the SAZKA Award for dance discovery, 2007, Interpretation Award 2006 and 2007. Nanohach is a member of Vize tance s.r.o.. Nanohach frequently appears in public spaces with site-specific projects – at, for example, the Czech Centre in Prague, the Franz Kafka Society, the Prague Botanical Garden, DOX Prague, the Florenc metro station and other Prague outside spaces, galleries, railway buildings and factories.
