Jasna L. Vinovrški arbeitet als Performerin, Choreographin und Kuratorin. Sie ist in Zagreb aufgewachsen, lebt und arbeitet aber seit dem Zerfall Jugoslawiens im Ausland. Nach ihrem Umzug nach Berlin im Jahr 2008 gründete sie zusammen mit ihrem Partner Clément Layes die Kompagnie Public in Private, in der die beiden Künstler*innen bis heute getrennte choreographische Handschriften entwickeln, sich aber in der engen künstlerischen Betreuung gegenseitig unterstützen.  publicinprivate.com. Im Jahr 2012 erhielt Jasna ihren MA-Abschluss in Choreographie an dem Hochschulübergreifenden Zentrum Tanz Berlin (HZT). 

Jasna setzt sich stark für die Schaffung alternativer Plattformen für Berliner Künstler*innen, insbesondere aus dem Tanz- und Performancebereich, ein. Von 2014 bis 2017 war sie Mitveranstalterin und Mitorganisatorin einer Plattform für experimentelle Kunst im Atelierhaus am Flutgraben unter dem Namen 3AM Event ( 3am.events). Von 2019-2020 war sie Ko-Kuratorin einer Veranstaltungsreihe am Collegium Hungaricum Berlin und im Atelierhaus Flutgraben: Montag Modus Klimata ( mmpraxis.com/montag-modus). Seit 2019 ist sie Mitorganisatorin der Künstlerplattform Flutgraben Performances ( flutgrabenperformances.org). Nicht zuletzt ist Jasna Mutter ihrer beiden Kinder Calissa (12) und Alva (2).




Jasna Layes Vinovrški works as a performer, choreographer and teacher. She grew up in Zagreb but lives and works abroad since the disintegration of Yugoslavia. At the beginning of the 90ties she studied in Essen, at the Folkwang Hochschule. After her graduation, for 12 years, she has been working as professional dancer and performer for various European dance companies. Already during that period she created her first choreographic works, such as solo”Which Club?” which was awarded several times. In 2006 she received the scholarship from Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg and DanceWeb scholarship from Goethe Institute. The last has supported many of her future tours and residences all over the world. After moving to Berlin in 2008, togeather with her partner Clément Layes, she founded the company Public in Private, where the two artists are until today developing separate choreographic signatures, but in the close artistic support to each other.


In 2012 Jasna gains her MA degree in choreography at the HZT University in Berlin. In 2014 she was invited by the Croatian Institute for Contemporary Dance to participate in the two-year EU-Canada project “Migrant Bodies”. This collaboration resulted with her solo work “Staying Alive”, which has been on tour in Europe, Canada and New York since 2016. In addition to her artistic activities she regularly teaches at art academies such as the HZT in Berlin, the HfMT in Cologne, the ADU in Zagreb and the Mimar Sinnan University in Istanbul.
