Phillips, Daisy

Information

Daisy Phillips was born in Oakland, California. Her early interests in architecture, gymnastics and becoming-a-fairy led her to dance, which she studied in Berkeley, London and Geneva. From 2003-2005 she was a member of the Ballet Junior de Genève, working with many artists including Lucinda Childs, Patrick Delcroix, Thierry Malandain and Fabrice Mazliah. As a freelancer, Daisy has worked with the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, in Béziers with Kirsten Debrock/Compagnie KD Danse, and in San Francisco with Alex Ketley, Rebecca Pappas, Sonia Reiter, and Les Stuck. In 2007 she moved to Belgium to work with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, creating the quartet Origine, the duet Faun and the opera „Das Rheingold. In addition, she has an ongoing collaboration with Erika Tsimbrovsky / Avy K Productions in San Francisco, focusing on multi-media improvisation. www.east-man.be www.avyk.org (Quelle: ada Studio Abendzettel)
