Dorte Olesen, born and raised in Denmark, moved to Stockholm in 1988 to study dance pedagogy at the University College of Dance (1988-91). A few years later, choreography took center stage in her life and Olesen completed choreography studies in 1998. From 2000 - 2004, she worked as choreographer at a number of Sweden’s largest theatres: including the Royal Dramatic Theater, Stockholms Stadsteater and Göteborgs Stadsteater. Her latest work includes Bad Girl, Poodle and Monday. Olesen is currently the 2006 resident choreographer at Dansens Hus.
