Wyman, Max

Information

Max Wyman is at the forefront of advocacy for the arts in Canada. He has chaired numerous panels on arts issues and arts criticism, taught Principles of Criticism at universities in Vancouver, and lectured on Canadian dance at festivals and universities in Prague, Bratislava, Vienna and England. Wyman has served on many national arts juries, was a member of the dance advisory panel of the Canada Council for the Arts, and served two terms on the board of the Canada Council. Living in Vancouver, Wyman has frequently contributed criticism and commentary on the arts to numerous publications, ranging from The New York Times to New York’s Dance Magazine. He has published numerous books, including Revealing Dance (Dance Collection Danse Press/es, 2001) and Toni Cavelti: A Jeweller’s Life (Douglas & McIntyre, 1996). (Quelle:The Canada Council) /cp
