Mualem, Michal

Information

Michal Mualem practised 9 years of professional gymnastics. She accomplished her dance education in Israel, studying ballet, contemporary, choreographic composition, improvisation contact and Feldenkrais. From 1994 to 2001 Michal danced in Israel with companies such as “Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal dance company and “Noa Dar dance group, and collaborated with choreographers Inbal Pinto and Niv Sheinfeld. In 2007 she presented “Brown Sugar, her first work as a young choreographer, at the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv. Since 2001 Michal collaborates with the company of Sasha Waltz, and dances in her creations Korper, Nobody, InsideOut, Impromptus, “Dido and Aeneas and “Dialoge 09. During these years she studied and collaborated with other choreographers such as David Zambrano, Meg Stuart, Benoit Lachambre, Ted Stoffer, Kristie Simpson, Jeremy Nelson.
