Phillips Geduld, Victoria

Information

Victoria Phillips Geduld is a PhD candidate at Columbia University concentrating in United States Cultural and Political History. She received her B.A. from Columbia University and holds two master’s degrees from New York University, as well as a master’s in Business Administration and a master’s in History from Columbia. She has published in the New York Times and Grant’s Business Rate Observer. Her recent work in dance history can be found in a group of essays on Ethel Winter, Ethel Winter and Her Choreography: En Dolor (Lightning Source, 2006). Before attending university, Geduld was a professional modern and French baroque dancer training with Martha Graham, as well as at the New Dance Group. She performed with companies run by Wendy Hilton and Anna Sokolow.
