What is mime in The Netherlands about? Groups and soloists playing indoors in theatre throughout the year and outdoors in squares during the summer months; independent performances here and there as well as festivals spread over various theatres. Also, mimes have been used by television ever since the early experimental days. Institutes and cultural centres provide courses and educational programmes for adults and children, and mime has come to be used in schools to stimulate creative attitudes in both teacher and pupil (...).
